iOS 8 – Latest Updates and Possible Additions You might See at WWDC
As spring is approaching, all the tech news is hovering around us. In the CES2014, we saw some great news on the upcoming flagships from different manufacturers. We saw the unveiling of Galaxy S5, HTC Desire 816, Nokia X Series, Xperia Z2 etc. from different companies. But, one of the most aspects of now-a-days is the expectation of World-Wide Developers Conference of Apple. People are pretty excited about what Apple might add to their future shopping list. We’re pretty eager to see iPhone 6 and iOS 8 this spring from Apple’s event. iOS 7 brought a massive change to the iOS world. We might not see the same in iOS 8 but, there’ll be a lot of additions in the backend. Unfortunately, we haven’t received any updates for 6 till now.
Same UI but Massively Optimized
Don’t get caught up with the people who think Apple will bring a lot of noticeable changes in their iOS updates every year. Definitely, iOS 8 will get incremental updates but not too many of noticeable ones. If Apple continues to revolutionize every updates, they won’t find the time for fixing the bugs and optimizing their software platform. That’s why we might not see any revolutionary changes on the user interface this time.
Instead of changing up the whole interface, Apple will bring their most out of their iOS 8 with tons of bug-fixes, hardware inconsistencies and crash-fixes. It will be more stable and optimized for the better hardware we already got. But, this year the spotlight is on iPhone 6, not on iOS 8. So, if you’re really eager to see iOS 8, then hopefully you’ll get iOS 8 without all of the disadvantages of iOS 7 and lots of improvements as a bonus as well.
New Additions – Health OS
This is one of the biggest additions by any mobile OS. Other third party apps are used to provide a model app for fitness and health. But, Apple integrated it to their iOS 8 this time. From now on, the Health OS will now be able to collect a lot of data using phone’s motion technology and help it to redesign the Heath app which is an expansion of iOS 8. iPhone 6 might include a lot of sensors in addition to the ones that iPhone 5S already have and take the Health OS app further with Healthbook. It could collect all sorts of data like blood pressure, heart rate, calorie burn and lots of more. It can also take data like how many steps you’ve taken each day.
According to the rumors and experts suggestions, Apple will improve their Touch ID. It’ll be great to see third party apps can use Touch ID’s integration to their apps. We’re hoping to see Apple bring this feature for the developers as well.
Hopefully, time can only tell us what we can get from Apple. But for now, we can hope for the best things to happen in this year’s WWDC. What do you think about iPhone 6 and iOS 8? Let us know. We’ll keep you updated about all the rumors and possible additions to iOS 8.
